     1. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN

To install the plugin, unzip the files into the Morrowind directory,
keeping the internal directory structure of the Zip.  You should see
Bamf.exe and MWScriptExtender.exe adjacent to Morrowind.exe.  Make
sure you include all files from the zip.

     2. PLAYING THE PLUGIN

*****************************************************************

To use this mod check the box next to the arena.esp file
in your Data Files menu in the Morrowind launcher.

Now follow these steps to begin a multiplayer session:


1:  run Bamf.exe.  this should open a small window with a big Red 
label on it.

2:  Open windows explorer and go to the Morrowind\Saves directory.
Drag and Drop your savegame on top of the red label, it should now 
turn Yellow(this means you are in "listen" mode, waiting for a 
connection)

3a:  If you intend on connecting to another player, make sure that the
other player is also in "listen" mode(Yellow label.)  Now type the other 
persons IP address in the boxes on the top right and hit Connect.

3b:  If you are waiting for someone to connect to you, read them the 
appropriate IP address which is displayed in the Yellow label.  If 
the other player is on the same Local Area Network as you, give them 
your LAN IP, otherwise give your external IP.  This program uses Port 6112
Once connected, the label will turn green for confirmation.  Two buttons 
will appear:  "Play" and "Transplant".

4:  Before starting a game you will need to Transplant your character
from the savegame.  Hit the Transplant button now, and when it finishes
your friend will also need to hit the Transplant button on his side.  
The program will then copy everything necessary for your character to 
manifest on another machine(armor, clothing, items, stats, etc.) to 
your peers Data Files directory. "Bamf.exe" needs "arena.dat" file to 
be in the same directory or it will produce no esp file for your peer. 

5:  Now both players should agree on a place to meet, or set Morrowind
to play in Windowed Mode so they can continue communicating through chat
software(or use TeamSpeak!)  You can set Morrowind to play in Windowed Mode
by running "Morrowind Launcher.exe" and going to the Options section.

6:  Once both players are ready, you may both press the Play button on the
Bamf interface(NOT from the default Morrowind Launcher!)


Note:  If you use COC or any means of teleportaion you must cross a 
Cell Boundary(door or external cell) before meeting your peer to 
trigger a CellChanged event; only then will you be visible.

Your stats will take about a minute to fully synchronize.

     3. Save Games

WARNING:  Do not save your game while in a multiplayer session.
At present the scripts cannot handle being suspended.  It's always 
good practice to back up your savegame before any major mod.

     4. Known Issues/Conflicts

Morrowind ScriptExtender is not compatible with Morrowind Enhanced.

     5. Troubleshooting

*****************************************************************
(1) If you receive an error as soon as you run Bamf.exe regarding "mswinsck.ocx",
try the following:

click Start->Run and type:  cmd
This opens up the Command Prompt.  From there, type the following:

cd\
cd program files\bethesda softworks\morrowind
regsvr32 mswinsck.ocx

This should ensure that the Winsock control can be used by the application.
It's probably best in this case to move the ocx to your System32 directory before 
doing this.

There may be other dependencies, I'd rather not package the larger and more common
dependencies because most people have them and they turn a lean ~500k zip into a 6MB
monstrosity...  If you get such an error about other ocx files, try to find them on 
Google or wait for me to build a cross-platform InstallShield project.

(2) If you typed in the correct IP address and still can't connect, ask the person
you're connecting to if they have a router and/or firewall in place.  If they have 
a firewall, make sure that port 6112 is open.  If they have a router, make sure that 
incoming connections on port 6112 are forwarded to the LAN IP of the host machine.
Consult your firewall or router manual for more information on how to do this.

(3) If Morrowind crashes to desktop while loading a savegame, I am aware of this
issue and cannot fix it myself.  The ScriptExtender itself is a work-in-progress and
I am doing my best to keep the developer up to speed.


(4) If you receive an "out of memory" run-time error while decompressing a character 
that you have just received, please contact me immediately, I would like to collect 
a sample of the compressed character to send to the developer of LibBZ2, this is quite 
rare but very important to have resolved.
